The "Pay now" button
If you add a payment link in Settings, every reminder and final notice gets a Pay now button, with the amount due and the invoice number to quote. The money goes straight to your own account. PaidStraight never handles it, and doesn't see card or bank details.
Getting a link
- Stripe: in your Stripe dashboard, create a Payment Link. Choose "Customers choose what to pay" so one link works for every invoice, then tick My Stripe link lets the customer choose the amount in Settings. PaidStraight fills in the amount and adds the invoice number as the reference, so you can match the payment in Stripe.
- SumUp: create a payment link with an open amount and make it reusable. Your client types the amount and the reference shown in the email.
- GoCardless: links are for a fixed amount. Make one for the exact amount and paste it on that invoice (Edit invoice, "Payment link for this invoice").
A link on an invoice is used instead of the one in Settings.
Things to know
- Your bank details (How clients pay you) still appear in the email, for clients who prefer a transfer.
- When a payment arrives, mark the invoice paid in PaidStraight. That stops the chase.
- A fixed-price link charges its own price, not the invoice amount. Check the link before you add it.
